Smooth transfer of transported goods onto downstream conveyors

Igus has added 14 new dimensions to its range of knife edge rollers, increasing conveyor design and planning flexibility greatly. Plastic knife edge rollers are used wherever smooth, lubricant-free transfer of transported goods is desired onto downstream conveyors. Because of their compact design and relatively tight radii, they are commonly found in food production machines, bottling lines and packaging systems as well as in point-of-sale units in supermarkets.

With a reputation for extremely high quality hand-crafted manufacture, the company uses application customised Herga Technology multi-pedal bellows footswitches in many of its motor assisted product lines. Supplied through K. D. Fisher & Co. Pty. Ltd, the Adelaide based electrical equipment provider specialising in safety and control systems, the footswitches are typically custom adapted in stylish moulded housings to suit the number of adjustable actuator axes as well as matching the colour of the table or couch specified by AMC's customer. Similarly, AMC logos and labelling are also part of the scope of supply.

Mitsubishi Electric causes a stir in white sauce production

British process and automation expertise has helped one of Japan's largest food producers to cut white sauce production time by 83%, reduce cleaning between batches because there is no burn-on residue and minimise energy consumption. PDX Reactor technology was integrated with Mitsubishi Electric equipment to create a 1200kg plant that produces the sauce in a single-stage process.
