New partnership to offer traceability through serialisation

Omron and Adents have recently agreed on a partnership for serialisation applications. The partnership provides support to mutual customers, offering a flexible, quickly deployable and easy-to-use system. The system aims to help fight the immense market of counterfeit products and to enhance consumer safety in accordance with legislation such as the EU Falsified Medicine Directive (2011/62/EU), the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) in the USA but also initiatives that enhance food safety, like the Food Safety Modernisation Act (FSMA).

At this year's Advanced Engineering UK, igus will be showcasing a number of new products on its stand (Hall 5, K42) that may help engineers realise more innovative designs and technical systems. One of the key highlights will be a small industrial robotic arm that has the new triflex RSE (retraction system electric) energy chain from igus integrated. Tailored specially for robots with small to medium load capacities, the igus triflex RSE retraction system prevents the formation of loops at the robot's wrist, even in highly dynamic applications.

Omron stand B34 at PPMA 2015 will include three important demonstration areas, showing end users and OEMs how they can implement a traceability system using product serialisation. The displays demonstrate how to meet common traceability requirements, ways to implement more flexible packaging lines through the use of an innovative, universal transparent object detection sensor, as well as how to implement standalone machinery safety systems that will meet the needs of today whilst providing the flexibility for being open for future integration.

At the PPMA Show Endoline Machinery will announce their future company plans - as a new generation of management spearheads the company's new direction. While the company continues to be headed by Alan Yates, the third generation of Yates' are taking the reins of the business. Recent changes have seen Andrew Yates become the Sales Director responsible for the entire sales and marketing of the company and Kit Yates take the role of Operations Director, responsible for the full operational side of the business.
