Mouser Electronics will once again exhibit at Embedded World 2018 - the world's biggest exhibition and conference focused on embedded technologies, occurring February 27-March 1 in Nuremberg, Germany. Mouser representatives will be in Booth 111 in Hall 3A to discuss the entire spectrum of embedded systems and display innovative products and technologies from a wide range of industry-leading manufacturers.

The first Keynote presentation for the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition will be delivered by Henry Harris-Burland, VP Marketing from Starship Technologies, creators of self-driving delivery robots. He will give a presentation outlining the capabilities of the robot and discuss the future, what they've learned so far, the challenges they have faced, social acceptance and more. Starship robots are advanced personal delivery devices that carry items within a 2-mile (3km) radius, using pavements to make their deliveries. To recognise industrial companies with best-in-class safety, Rockwell Automation has announced UK-based equipment builder A.M.P Rose and automotive manufacturer Honda of Canada Manufacturing as the winners of its fifth annual Manufacturing Safety Excellence Awards.

Additive manufacturing, and metal 3D printing in particular, is becoming talked about more and more. Croft Additive Manufacturing has been using this technology for over four years and the company is concerned that 'UK PLC' is being left behind. It is Croft's intention to share some of its knowledge and experience with others. The company is therefore organising a series of interactive training workshops so that attendees with little or no knowledge can gain 'hands on' experience, together with a basic understanding of the procedures and the designs that can be manufactured.
