WEG to showcase motor and drive technologies at AEMT Conference 2026
WEG, will showcase its expertise across drives, motors and automation at the AEMT Conference 2026, taking place on September 24 at the Concorde Conference Centre, Manchester. The event gives visitors the opportunity to discuss the company's latest technologies and their applications across the electromechanical sector.

The AEMT Conference includes a full programme of expert speakers covering technical best practice, skills development and apprenticeships, alongside an exhibition focused on developments in electromechanical maintenance, repair, condition monitoring, energy efficiency and sustainable engineering.
At the event, attendees can find out more about WEG's ADV200 drive and AFE200 regenerative power supply. The ADV200 is designed for demanding industrial applications, providing precise motor control across a range of operating conditions, with power ratings from 0.75 kW to 355 kW as a single module and up to 1.65 MW with parallel connection for heavy duty applications.
It supports both asynchronous and synchronous motors, with field-oriented control and V/f control available in closed-loop or sensorless/open-loop configurations, depending on the application. The AFE200 offers power ratings from 22 kW to 1.65 MW for three-phase power supplies from 400 VAC to 690 VAC, using active front end technology for applications where energy regeneration and reduced energy consumption are priorities.
Together, these technologies demonstrate how WEG is addressing industrial efficiency at different points in the electromechanical system, from power conversion and motor control through to high-efficiency and compact motor design.
Visitors will also be able to explore WEG's latest motor technologies including the W22 Prime, W80 AXGen and W23 Sync+ ranges. The W22 Prime combines IE4 and IE5 efficiency with the simplicity and reliability of induction motor technology, while supporting both direct-on-line and variable speed drive operation. Designed for retrofit and new industrial applications, its cast iron construction provides durability in demanding environments.
The W80 AXGen uses axial-flux technology to deliver high power density in a compact, lightweight design. Up to ten times lighter than traditional motors, it can enable machines to be up to 80 per cent more compact, helping OEMs reduce material use, logistical requirements and the associated environmental impact.
Finally, the W23 Sync+ combines permanent magnets with synchronous reluctance technology to deliver high efficiency across a range of operating speeds. It achieves IE5 efficiency, with losses 36 per cent lower than IE3 efficiency, and is available in power ratings from 0.75 kW to 1,250 kW for a broad range of industrial applications.
"With electric motors and motor-driven systems accounting for around 70 per cent of electricity consumption in industry globally, improving the efficiency of these systems is an important consideration for industrial businesses," said Marek Lukaszczyk, UK and Middle East marketing manager at WEG.
