Five weeks from now, hundreds of engineers, machine builders, systems integrators and automation specialists will gather at Sandown Park for the inaugural MachineBuilding.South - the newest edition of the MachineBuilding Event Series.
For many visitors, the value won't come from discovering a product they've never seen before. It will come from finding the answer to a problem they've been trying to solve for months.
Whether that's improving machine performance, navigating new safety requirements, integrating robotics, reducing commissioning time or planning for future automation projects, the reality is that most engineering challenges don't sit neatly within a single discipline.
They require conversations and MachineBuilding.South has been designed to bring those conversations together in one place.
A critical mass of expertise
More than 130 automation suppliers will be exhibiting at the event, creating one of the most concentrated gatherings of machine-building expertise in the South of England.
Visitors will be able to compare different approaches, challenge assumptions, validate ideas and discuss projects directly with the engineers and technical specialists behind the technologies.
The ability to have those conversations side-by-side is often where the biggest breakthroughs happen.
Learning from the people solving the challenges
Alongside the exhibition, visitors will have access to a comprehensive workshop programme covering topics including:
The emphasis throughout is on practical application rather than theory.
Demand for hands-on learning
One of the most talked-about features at MachineBuilding.North was the introduction of practical IO-Link training sessions.
Places were snapped up quickly, reflecting the growing demand for engineers to move beyond presentations and gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies.
That same practical training programme now comes to MachineBuilding.South.
More than an exhibition
For engineers responsible for designing, integrating and optimising machines, MachineBuilding.South offers something increasingly difficult to find:
A single day where technologies, expertise and practical learning are brought together under one roof.
MachineBuilding.South takes place on Wednesday, 8th July at Sandown Park, Surrey.
Free visitor registration is now open.
