Safe, sealed, reliable appliance inlet filter with V-Lock retention
The newly developed SCHURTER 5180 is an appliance inlet filter in accordance with IEC 60320 and IEC 60529. The built-in appliance inlet provides IP67 protection for the housing thanks to multiple sealing elements. When combined with the corresponding V-Lock power cord, a protection rating of IP54 is achieved when plugged in.
An optional version made of bio-based plastic makes the 5180 especially sustainable. It is ideal for applications in industry, medical technology and the food sector.
Both the appliance inlet and the power cord are equipped with special sealing elements to ensure a high IP protection rating. In combination with the new blue V-Lock cable, reliable retention and maximum sealing are guaranteed.
Standard and high-performance versions
The SCHURTER 5180 is available in both standard and high-performance versions. The latter features chokes with nanocrystalline cores, providing maximum filtering performance for the most demanding applications.
The 5180 appliance inlet filter is optionally available in a bio-based plastic version, significantly reducing the component's CO2 footprint.
Whether in harsh industrial environments, medical technology or the food industry, SCHURTER's new technology offers the perfect solution wherever dust, dirt or splashing water may occur. In medical applications, higher IP ratings are required since devices must be regularly cleaned, disinfected and sometimes sterilized. Similar requirements apply in the food industry. In home care and ambulance applications, the 5180 with 2 MOPP protection for devices in direct contact with patients ensures a reliable and safe connection.
