Non-contact, RFID coded safety switch
Norstat is now offering the ODNK, a series of standalone non-contact RFID safety switches.
The ODNK are standalone, non-contact, RFID safety switches with 2 OSSD safety outputs and 1NC contact, capable of switching 2A at 24VDC. The uniquely coded RFID has a possible 4 billion code combinations and the OSSD outputs are suitable for series connection up to 30 off, maintaining PL-e.
The ODNK includes dual RGB LEDs for advanced on-switch diagnostics and the overhanging design improves visibility in awkward mounting positions. The O-Type switches can be used with a feature called EDM (external device monitoring) which monitors the state of contactors or safety relays to detect failures eliminating the need for a safety monitoring device.
ODNK safety switches are available with 3, 6 or 10 metre pre-wired cables which are fully sealed and suitable for use in most wet / harsh environments and rated IP 67 and IP 69K.
