Murrelektronik cable and connectors for the food industry

Food and Beverage connectors are IP66k or IP69k rated. The M12 Steel connectors use a V4A stainless steel housing to increase longevity while the Food and Beverage Pro connectors have an ice blue polypropylene jacket to make it easier to spot contaminates. All of Murrelektronik's Food and Beverage products are FDA compliant, designed to EHEDG hygiene regulations and are Ecolab tested and certified.

M12 F&B Pro

In areas where every component in a system comes into contact with the food being processed, then re-enters the processing operation, the connectors must be able to satisfy each and every cleanability requirement. The materials should neither absorb nor contaminate the product. The new M12 range from Murrelektronik, made of polypropylene, fulfils the very latest requirements of the EHEDG and are therefore suitable for use in these zones.

M12 F&B Steel

In areas where plastic connectors reach their limits, M12 Steel is the right choice. Even if zones 1 and 2 are only high-pressure cleaned for short periods of time, this fully moulded connectors made of stainless steel is the 'unbreakable' alternative. This stainless steel housing enables it to outperform the protection standards of IP69K.

M12 F&B Plus

The requirements defining cleanability in regards to materials and design are not as stringent in downstream processes in the dry zone as they are in zones 1 and 2, because there isn't any direct contact possible with food. Here, M12 F&B Plus is the best solution.

Cube67+ Hygienic Design IO modules

Featuring a closed stainless steel housing as well as V4A (1.4404) threaded sleeves, these modules are designed to facilitate cleaning. With an IP69K rating, a Cube system can be used in any food zone.

This comes with great potential for cost reductions:
- By using Cube67 Hygienic Design modules, the particularly costly stainless steel terminal boxes used in the food sector can be phased out completely.
- Parallel wiring of individual cables over stainless steel screens in food and beverage applications is extremely complicated. The Cube system enables a direct process connection with a single system connection.
- Valve manifolds can be implemented in a cost-efficient way via the IO-Link master module.
