Rubix has announced that LOCTITE, the trusted adhesives, sealants and functional coatings brand from Henkel, is joining Parker Hannifin and SKF as an official partner of the Uptime Index, supporting the initiative that tracks the health of European manufacturing.
LOCTITE's participation strengthens the Index's focus on practical solutions that help manufacturers reduce downtime and improve operational resilience.
Launched in June 2025, the Uptime Index is a European manufacturing benchmark tracking the factors influencing uptime and operational performance, providing insight to help manufacturers improve productivity, manage risk and build resilience.
David Cullern, Group VP Key Accounts at Rubix, said: "With LOCTITE joining Parker Hannifin and SKF as official partners, the Uptime Index continues to bring together some of the most respected names in industrial manufacturing.
"Their support is a strong endorsement of the Index and its role as a trusted measure of manufacturing health across Europe. Together, we are helping provide manufacturers with valuable insight into the challenges affecting uptime, productivity and long-term resilience.
"As the Index continues to grow, these partnerships help broaden its reach and reinforce its relevance to manufacturers across Europe."
Jens Uhlenbrock, Director Channel & Distribution EU at LOCTITE, said: "The Uptime Index provides valuable insight into the issues affecting manufacturing performance across Europe. This aligns closely with LOCTITE's role in supporting maintenance, repair and overhaul teams by helping to prevent leaks, secure assemblies, protect components and reduce unplanned downtime. We are pleased to support an initiative that helps manufacturers better understand these challenges and make more informed decisions to improve resilience and productivity."
The latest edition of the Uptime Index, published in June 2026, found that confidence among European manufacturers had risen to 75 out of 100, up five points from the previous survey. Based on responses from more than 6,800 manufacturers across Europe, the research showed businesses are becoming more resilient in the face of ongoing market volatility by strengthening maintenance practices, improving inventory visibility, investing in digital technologies and building stronger supplier relationships.
Alongside the latest Index, Rubix published a white paper examining how manufacturers are responding to the industry's growing skills challenge. The research found that many organisations are investing in workforce development, embracing new technologies and building external partnerships to protect uptime and maintain operational performance despite ongoing labour shortages.
The next edition of the Uptime Index, in September 2026, will examine supply chain management and its impact on manufacturing uptime. The research will explore how manufacturers are responding to ongoing supply chain pressures and the role visibility, resilience and supplier relationships play in maintaining operational performance.
