Coriolis meters measure smaller flows

Emerson Process Management is expanding its Micro Motion ELITE Coriolis meter offering for low-flow applications. The new Micro Motion meters are compact in design and available in two sizes, 2mm and 4mm nominal diameter, delivering +/-0.05 per cent liquid flow accuracy, +/-0.35 per cent gas accuracy and +/-0.0005g/cc liquid density accuracy for flow rates of 2kg/h to 330kg/h.

Parker-Origa linear drive units protected to IP64

Parker-Origa is introducing a means of protection that can be applied to its complete range of linear drives; it is even claimed to be suitable for preventing problems that might be caused by sugary or sticky fluids present in food manufacturing and other process lines. The new Clean Design system protects linear drives - including associated guides, sensors and position sensing systems - in a modular, stainless steel housing that is sealed to IP64. The resulting drive is suitable for use where intensive washdowns are frequent, as well as in damp, dusty and otherwise challenging environments.

Vision inspection system suits bakery applications

Tordivel Group, based in Oslo and with a Scorpion Vision office in Southampton, UK, has developed an optical inspection system for use specifically in bakeries. It is based on the same powerful Scorpion Vision software that has been at the heart of many automatic inspection systems used in diverse manufacturing industries.
