Wear-resistant flat top chains for the beverage industry

iwis is introducing its hardened, wear-resistant stainless steel flat top chains at this year's Drinktec in Munich, Germany. Sold under the Flexon brand the chains are used, for example, for conveying bottle crates and returnable bottles. The new chains are surface-hardened with a special process to reduce wear and maintenance costs.

Grinding wheels cut faster, last longer and need less pressure

3M is introducing a range of Cubitron II bonded abrasive grinding wheels to the European market that are claimed to offer an innovative new approach to the grinding process. Employing the highly advanced abrasive grain technology, precision shaped grain, which was introduced with the Cubitron II Abrasive Belts and Discs and is now well established in the market, the new grinding wheels are said to cut faster, last longer and require significantly less pressure than conventional grinding wheels. This results in increased productivity and reduced operator fatigue.

Retrofit control head enables automation of most process valves
