GHS VSD+ vacuum pumps halve energy consumption

Atlas Copco is introducing a new range of high-efficiency vacuum pumps for the manufacturing industry. Said to represent a significant step forward in rough vacuum, the new GHS 350-900 VSD+ range promises customer benefits including average energy savings of 50 per cent compared with conventional oil-sealed and dry vane vacuum pumps, as well as best-in-class noise levels and oil retention.

Robust ultrasonic sensors for food and beverage machinery

Morgan Advanced Materials is launching ultrasonic sensors for use within the food and beverage sector. High operating temperatures and pressures, in addition to the presence of steam and potentially corrosive products such as alcohol and solvents, require robust measuring components that can function correctly under demanding conditions. Similarly, with the drive for smaller machine footprints, there is an increased demand for sensors that take up less space.

ERD Stainless Steel Linear Actuators designed for washdown

Recently introduced by Motion Control Products Ltd, the new ERD22 electric rod linear actuator from Tolomatic is a low-cost, versatile replacement for pneumatic cylinders and an alternative to manual processes. With force capabilities up to 7000N (1700 lbf), the all-300 series stainless-steel ERD22 is a standard catalogue item featuring hygienic design and IP69k rating. Suitable for medium-force washdown applications, the ERD22 linear actuator is USDA-approved for meat, poultry and dairy applications such as pumping, fluid dispensing, volumetric filling, slicing, cutting and chopping.
