Variohm's range of weighing indicators simplifies integration

Variohm EuroSensor has added a new line of weighing indicators that will fulfil the cost and performance requirements for a wide range of counting, check weighing and platform scale applications across industries such as food & beverage, packaging, agricultural equipment, weighbridges and more. The new W-series offers four models for DIN-rail and panel mounting with entry level to advanced interfacing and a choice of output, display and interactive functionality. Covering 4 or 8 load cell inputs up to 350 ohm, the range includes an ATEX compatible model and an electronic overload guard for redundant operation.

Yokogawa's redundancy software platform for use with PCs

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has developed a software platform that enables software packages to run on general-purpose computers in a redundant configuration, and has added this to its OpreXTM Control and Safety System family. This redundancy software will help raise the availability of all the options that make up Yokogawa's OpreX Control category of systems, software, and devices. By making a system redundant, high availability can be achieved. The first software packages based on this platform will be released in March of next year. These are the Exaopc OPC interface package and the Exapilot operation efficiency improvement package.

Non-metallic grease metering device and complementary pump

SKF is announcing two additions to the company's comprehensive range of automated lubrication products. SKF's Series 310 lubricant metering device is made of high-performance PA66 resin and is the industry's first ever non-metallic metering device. In addition, it makes use of colour-coded dosing elements for easy identification of metering amounts for a wide variety of lubrication requirements. Lightweight and simple to install, the Series 310 can be mounted in either an upright or inverted position, and provides proven SKF reliability for a minimum of 400,000 lubrication cycles. It is compatible with all single-line lubrication pumps, and is suitable for indoor use on small to medium sized machinery in a wide range of applications.
