Pryor: Manufacturer of the Year for Design and Innovation 2014

PPMA Show returns to NEC for largest event in recent history

New educational vision project under way with Stemmer Imaging

Continuing Stemmer Imaging's commitment to support engineering education in the UK, a new, 6-month vision project has been started with a group of five students from Farnborough Sixth Form College. This is the third project to be carried out with the College, and will involve the design and construction of a vision system to carry out automated packaging inspections on breakfast cereal boxes. When completed, the system will be on permanent display at the prestigious Manufacturing Technology Centre, in Anstey, Coventry.

Atlas Copco Compressors is appointing Mark Ranger as Business Line Manager of its Oil-Free Air division in the UK. In his new role, Mark is aiming to sustain Atlas Copco's market-leading position in the provision of oil-free compressors to key sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, chemical and petrochemical processing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and electronics, where absolute assurance of air purity is a high priority. At the same time he will be developing the market position of oil-injected compressors over 90kW, which are the backbone of many larger manufacturing processes.
